A Simple and Easy Weeknight Meal

When you’re thinking about what to have for dinner after a long day at work, consider cooking a set of juicy pork chops to ensure that you end your day right. With the right cooking method, cooking pork chops can be a quick and easy meal that’s also delightfully delicious. Here are some tips that you can use to cook the perfect chops.

Brining

Though it’s optional to brine your pork, it can be great for adding flavor and juiciness. Simply bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add salt and flavoring, then stir the mixture into the water. Add 2 more cups of cold water so that the brine becomes room temperature. Pour the brine over the pork chops until the chops are submerged. Then simply refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to ensure flavor.

Cooking the Chops

When you’re about to start cooking, position a rack and a skillet in your oven and preheat to 400 degrees. Remove the hot skillet from your oven and set it to medium-high heat. Place your pork chops in the skillet and sear for 3 minutes before flipping them over. Place them back in the oven and roast until the pork chops are cooked through.
